Statement to Patients: Practice Reopening

We are Re-Opening our Clinic and Dispensary! We’re here for you and your eyecare needs!

We will now start scheduling patients for eye exams and customers for dispensary visits on Friday, May 5, 2020.

To ensure the health and well-being of our patients, staff and visitors, we ask that everyone entering the facility abide by the following procedures:

  • Face Mask--Everyone entering the facility must wear a face mask. A face mask will be provided at a nominal charge if you present without a face mask.

  • Hand Sanitization--Upon entering the facility hand sanitizer will be administered as well as reentering the dispensary.

  • Fever Free Environment—Temperatures will be taken upon entering the clinic of all patients, staff, doctors. Anyone with a 99.5 degrees (F) or higher will be asked to reschedule. Anyone who is taking fever-reducing medications such ibuprofen or acetaminophen will be asked to reschedule once the medication is clear of their system so we can be sure of an accurate temperature reading.

  • Pre-Screening Questionnaire—A COVID-19 questionnaire will be reviewed/administered. Anyone who is sick or presenting with signs or symptoms of fever , chills , sore throat, cough, shortness of breath, wheezing, new muscle pain, and new loss of taste or smell will have their visits postponed.

  • Limited Appointment Scheduling-- To ensure we are able to properly disinfect and adhere to Social Distancing Guidelines patients and/or customers with appointments must stay in their vehicles and notify the office upon arrival. You will be notified when to enter the office. Patients that are minors can only be accompanied by ONE parent/guardian. Families with grouped appointments must also stay in their vehicle until notified when to enter the office.

  • Social Distancing and Curbside Pick-Up-- Customers wanting to purchase eyewear or supplies must make an appointment. Contact lens and glasses purchases can be made over the phone or online at Pick-ups for eyewear, supplies, and/or contacts as well as repairs/adjustments will be serviced via CURBSIDE PICK-UP and by appointment only.

  • Office Disinfection--El Paso EyeCare wants to further assure our patients of our steadfast commitment to their well-being. As such we have implemented enhanced cleaning and disinfection procedures including frequent cleaning/disinfection of furniture, door handles, light switches, restrooms, etc. Additionally, we have deployed UV-C sanitizing air cleaners throughout the facility as well as an UV-C eyewear sanitizing system.
